The quote doesn't sound cheap. My Merc's glow plug relay was about £135 from the dealer & its plugs were £20 each but available online for about £12. Not knowing the Fiat engine I've no idea how accessible these bit are, but on a transverse 4 pot I'd have thought they would be very easy to get to. 1 person likes this.

It should be the same as the peugeot cars .. no need to move the pump take of the two adjacent injector pipes and find a 12mm cranked ring spanner to fit. Hi-I'm new to the forum but was just after some advice. I recently been advised my glow plugs need replaced on my 2008 burstner-2 look they are going to be stuck and require specialist engineering to get out-fair enough.
This is the Glow Plug Indicator symbol, which is found only in diesel-powered variants of Fiat Ducato. Diesel engines require heat in the cylinders to operate, which is supplied initially by its glow plugs when the engine is freezing cold. When illuminating green, this is operating perfectly but when yellow, a fault may exist.
The fuse for this is F02 50A, in the engine bay fusebox. The basic relay for this glowplug is located under the hood at the rear of the engine bay. The fuel valve is supplied via F11, secondary injection services, and controlled by relay T20, both of which devices are to be found in the engine bay fusebox.

It's caused by a bad design of the windscreen scuttle panel, because it's a split designe when it rains the water seeps through the split in the panel, driping on to the engine cover and on to the glow plugs, fiat did bring out a re call to fix this issue but only for big companies with a large fleet, fiat have since re designed the scuttle panel on the new 2015 moddels
