But then suddenly the fog and partly all of the screen turned into light green. When i lowered the graphics settings it turned normal again but after this insident it looks like the graphics where lovered overall.

Thats a non-solution and lazy dev answer. Just add support for 4K resolution. AOE2 HD is a modern game release, so it should support modern resolutions. 4K is now a modern resolution, and more and more people are going to be using it. All it takes is making a settings options that allows the user to manually choose a resolution.
